Overview Open Class Cross Country Power

Based on the YZ450F, the YZ450FX adds XC-specific features like a wide-ratio transmission, 18″ rear wheel, side stand, skid plate, revised ECU and suspension settings, and a lower seat height for off-road agility. It’s tuned to perform in tight woods and open trails alike.

450cc DOHC Four-Stroke Engine

With a reversed cylinder head layout, 39mm titanium valves, a forged piston, and lightened crank assembly, this high-performance engine delivers usable power across the rev range. ECU settings are tailored for cross-country and enduro competition.

Yamaha Power Tuner App

This free app lets you adjust ignition timing, air/fuel ratio, and traction control. Features include Simple Tuning, race logging, lap timing, and diagnostic toolsall from your smartphone. It’s like having a factory race team in your pocket.

Traction Control System

Three selectable levelsHIGH, LOW, or OFFlet you control rear wheel slip based on terrain conditions, enhancing stability and control under acceleration.

Optimized XC Chassis

The aluminum bilateral beam frame features XC-tuned engine mounts and offers lighter feel, enhanced bump absorption, and greater rider confidence through corners and rough terrain.

KYB Suspension
