Powered by a 510.9 cm, SOHC, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke engine weighing just 29.5 kg, the FE 501 produces an impressive spread of controllable power. The engines compact design positions its rotating masses close to the centre of gravity, enhancing manoeuvrability and anti-squat behaviour. The lightweight aluminium cylinder features a 95 mm bore and 72 mm stroke, housing a forged CP bridged-box-type piston with anodised grooves for durability. Fuel delivery is handled by a 42 mm Keihin throttle body for crisp response, and starting is via a reliable electric starter. A DDS wet multi-disc clutch with Brembo hydraulics ensures smooth, consistent engagement.

The FE 501s chromium-molybdenum steel frame is engineered for the ideal balance of flex and rigidity, reducing rider fatigue over long rides. Its hybrid subframe, constructed from 60% polyamide and 40% aluminium, weighs just 1.8 kg while offering exceptional strength and calculated flex. Suspension is handled by WP XACT 48 mm closed-cartridge forks and a WP XACT rear shock with linkage, delivering exceptional control across rough terrain. Both front and rear suspension offer 300 mm of travel and are fully adjustable for compression and rebound damping.

The FE 501 comes equipped with advanced electronics and top-quality components. It includes a handlebar-mounted Map Select Switch for two selectable EFI maps, Traction Control, and an optional Quickshifter. Braking is handled by premium Brembo systems, with a 260 mm front disc and a 220 mm rear disc. The FE 501 features CNC-machined hubs, D.I.D rims, and Michelin Enduro tyres. The functional bodywork, finished with white, yellow, and blue in-mould graphics inspired by the brands Swedish heritage, complements its performance-driven design. An LED headlight ensures excellent visibility for all conditions.
