Most front sprockets require the use of a retainer with bolts to secure the front sprocket to the atv. However, a few of the smaller atvs do have a 12T sprocket that use a c-clip to hold it. Most are the 50cc-90cc atvs.

- ID of clip: 18.3mm (0.72 in)
- OD of clip: 22.5mm (0.88 in)
- Works with 12T sprockets without holes
Some atvs require the 2-bolt retainer to hold sprocket in place.
